What a spectacular specimen recently found in Indonesia. This new pit viper is a brilliant color.
Trimeresurus gunaleni was discovered by a group of herpetologists and researchers while studying the known species Trimeresurus sumanatrus. Lucky for both species, the terrain in which they thrive is hard to access and so there isn't much deforestation happening to their homes. We can only hope this remains the case in upcoming years.
