This week has been a tad bit slower than other weeks, but that just means I'm busy doing other things like preparing for the holidays, opening up t-shirts, and brianstorming new things to add to the store.
Since the holiday season is coming up I wanted to be able to provide you guys with some shirts so you can buy them for your loved ones, or even for yourself. While I can't actually do shirts myself yet, I do have a new Spreadshirt shop open where you can find a myriad of different designs for pretty affordable. I love the quality of Spreadshirt. They do all our business shirts and this is the same company that did my shirts for last year's round of shirts. Working with a local small company, still to get some shirts from them instead of from a large company, but until we're able to afford them, we'll be going through Spreadshirt! Both companies will provide awesome quality.
I've got twenty designs in store now, but no worries. I'm working on getting more in there for variety. If you want to order a design we have but it's not in the store, let me know. I'll do my best to get it in there within a couple days of your request. As I doodle I'll be putting new designs in there. The initial process of getting designs file-ready etc is going to take a long while, though. Doing my best! The link to this Spreadshirt shop will always be at the top of this website under "Apparel".
A few Nail Wrap Designs. Available by Jamberry.
Another product by another company. I thought these would be fun, though and wear Jamberries like my life depends on it. So, I have these three designs available on nail wraps. They're $25 a wrap sheet, and I don't make any commissions off of these, I just thought they'd be fun. So if you'd like to order some, let me know and I'll get you in touch with my consultant to get them ordered for you!
Custom Holiday Items COMING!
I just started releasing holiday items for the store. Gift tags were an obvious necessity. This weekend is dedicated to a secret special project that I'm collaborating on with a friend (details will be released in the future) and THESE. So far there are Chameleons and Axolotls available. I'm working right now on crested geckos, ball pythons, tortoises, some obscure gecko species and other gift tags. My goal is to finish all the gift tags that I want to make by November 15th so you are able to buy these in advance of winter holidays.
There are a few slots left for Holiday Ornaments. I'm pretty limited on how many I can make, and as time goes on these slots disappear. I have four slots every week scheduled. That's the most I can do each week, so if you want one, better for you to get a slot booked in advance. Especially if you want them before any given holiday.
I begin making these custom items on Monday. We have all four slots filled this upcoming week and the week after. Pre-payment is required for custom items. These ornaments are $25 each, and I'll have pictures of them this weekend of some completed non-custom ornaments that are curing as we speak.
I don't have it in shop yet, but I'm working to get some wrapping paper printed up. I'm very lucky to have a wide-format printer, so hoping to find all the appropriate materials to make this happen with my designs on them.
While I'm doing custom ornaments, I'm also making holiday stickers that will be perfect for sealing envelopes for holiday cards, to adorn on gifts or, really anything. These will come in sheets of 20 1.5 inch circle stickers and will be available as one, two or five sheets. Below are a couple examples of what I'm going with.
Ball Pythons! I'm working on more of course! So keep an eye out! So far I've got Crested geckos, axolotls, and pied or albino ball python pencils available. Although, I cannot keep those crested gecko pencils in stock to save my life. I'll be ordering more pencils soon so I can get back to wrapping them for you and get those out in time for the winter holidays coming up. I've wrapped over 144 of the things, and they keep selling like crazy! They make perfect stocking stuffers. We will have these guys in packs of two or five so you can buy a just a couple, or a few more than that at a time.
ONE. I got ONE done this week.
Ah well. I've been gearing up for holiday stuff and doing my best to expand items for the store. You guys have been keeping me on my toes! This little guy is a little Lygodactylus williamsi, with the common name of Electric Blue Day Gecko. They're really small. And really really that blue. Just beautiful little geckos. These guys are critically endangered in a specific forest of Tanzania in part by the illegal capture of them for the pet trade and by the deforestation of the only known forest they live in. Such a shame on the pet trade part since they breed fairly well in captivity. One interesting thing about these little geckos is that when they're juveniles they start out as a drab green color. They are dimorphic once the male hits maturity. He turns blue, while the females stay that drab color of brownish or green.
In captivity these little guys do great in trios of one male to two females. They glue eggs to things, so if you keep them to breed you'll find little tiny white eggs glued on things. (Or, you might not actually find them!) Definitely a great animal to keep. The Lygodactylus williamsi is one gecko on my list of things to own some day.
Thank you all for reading!
